I taste and smell cooking oils as they can become rancid fairly quickly and yet still look fine. Upon receipt since it had been a warm week, I opened one can to taste and smell and it was very fresh and seemed a high quality product. It is handcrafted in the EU and certified organic by the CA certified organic farmers and owned by a French company. I like having the small containers vs. a 32 oz. bottle and the metal protection against light and plastic BPA. I mostly use organic olive, hemp, and coconut oils, but needed a constant non-hardening relatively tasteless, inexpensive organic oil for baking. I will store them in a cool area to prevent them becoming rancid and of course refrigerate the opened container. This brand has so many choices that I will try some of their nut oils for salad dressings and baking.
